"Pond"
“Pond” is a mixed media painting using watercolour and acrylics.

The technique I used to make this piece is monoprint, where I painted on a board and got the image transferred on paper by pressing it into wet paint on the board. After that I added details to add shape to the loose areas.
The landscape with trees reflecting in a pond emerged as the picture developed! I really enjoyed painting it this way, having a spontaneous beginning. The contrast between raw textures given by monoprint and fine details of branches, berries or the flying bird are creating the beautiful dynamics of this piece.
